Stan Geer played a lot of golf Monday. A lot.

The Bentley Village pro squeezed in 180 holes on the par-3 course, all to raise money and food for the Harry Chapin Food Bank. As of Tuesday afternoon, over $2,000 in donations and multiple donation bins of canned food items had been made.

Residents acted as Geer’s caddies all day. One of them, Ilmar Arsts, walked 108 of the holes.

First Tee Invitational: Van Billet, Rob Anderson, Rob McKinney and Dennis Kane won the tournament Monday at Calusa Pines Golf Club.

Paul Betz, Steve Coffin, Tom Maurer, and Alan Fadel were second. Doug Wicklung, Frank Besson, Stu Hodgson and Jim Clayton were third. Bill Fisher, Vince Byrd, Jeff Williams and Wes Sparks were fourth. There were 80 players in the field and 110 at the dinner.

Connor wins Southwest Florida Men’s Amateur: Fort Myers’ Cole Connor fired a 69 on Sunday to win at Fort Myers Country Club.

Connor had the first-round lead after a 71 at Eastwood Golf Course on Saturday, and finished with a 140 total to win by seven strokes over Jonah Manning, who shot a 72 for a 147.

Cody Olson (75-74/149) and Matt Ariza (79-70/149) of Naples tied for third, and defending champion Matt Leiti of Naples shot a 71 to finish fifth at 151.

Joey Sagi (81-71/152), Mark Iwinski Jr. (83-70/153), Jack Hernandez (79-76/155), Jim Marcelak (78-77/155) and Landon Weber (77-78/155) rounded out the top 10.

Ted Beckowski won A Flight with a 76 for a 150 total, seven strokes ahead of William Kapke (78-79/157).

Danny Suero won B Flight with a 75 for a 156 total to edge Don Moser (77-80/157) by a stroke.

Jason Heidig won C Flight with a 79 for a 164, four ahead of John Burke (86-82/168) and Brendan Kirley (87-81/168).

John Fitzpatrick won D Flight, shooting an 86 for a 164 to win by nine.

SFPGA Junior Tour Championship: Bonita Springs’ Kim Egozi finished fourth in the Girls 13-18 Division of the invitation-only tournament in Jupiter.

Egozi shot 73-81/154. Estero’s Kelli Kragh was 31st, shooting 85-90/175. Reece Kyle of Fort Myers was 11th in the Boys 13-18s, shooting 75-74/149. Tommy Amendola of Naples was 26th, shooting 83-75/156, and Joey Burke of Naples was 43rd, shooting 82-84/166.

Naples Lakes ladies prepare candy: For the 12th consecutive year, the Naples Lakes Country Club Ladies 9 Hole Golf Association will prepare 1,000 bags of candy for distribution during the annual Santa Run on Dec. 9 as the parade goes through Naples Manor.

With donations provided by East Naples Civic Association (ENCA), the East Naples Foundation (ENF), Kiwanis Club of East Naples and Walmart, about $1,0000 worth of wrapped candy is purchased.

Impact Zone Golf: PGA Tour pro Cameron Tringale is speaking to juniors and their families on Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. To RSVP to the free event at Tiburón, call 236-5536.

Impact Zone founder Bobby Clampett will have a Signature School from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dec. 16-17 for $1,995 per person.

Junior holiday camps are Dec. 27-29 and Jan. 2-4 from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. each day for ages 7-18. Cost is $299 for all three days of each camp or $125 per day.
