IMTS 2012 Pre-Registration Number Crosses 82K
CHICAGO,
IL , Sep 10, 2012 – Show Management for IMTS – The International
Manufacturing Technology Show 2012 which is being held at Chicago’s
McCormick Place, starting today through September 15, announced that
pre-registration for the event has surpassed the total IMTS 2010 registration
number of 82,411.
“This is another piece of evidence that manufacturing
continues to lead the way during an uncertain economic recovery,” said IMTS vice
president – exhibitions and communications Peter Eelman. “IMTS exhibitors are
excited to show their innovative products to an expanding audience and are ready
to supply manufacturing with the tools they need to fuel the growing
manufacturing sector.”
IMTS will kick off today with the AMT Manufacturing Stage presented by FANUC
with acting US commerce secretary Rebecca Blank making a special appearance
along with Illinois Governor Pat Quinn, AMT president Douglas Woods and Local
Motors president Jay Rogers.
The AMT Manufacturing Stage can be found on McCormick Place’s Grand
Concourse. The program will be held from 9:25 – 9:55 a.m. Sep 10 and 9:30 – 9:55
a.m. Sep 11-14.
IMTS will also welcome Michael F. Molnar, director-advanced manufacturing
national program, and chief manufacturing officer-National Institute of
Standards and Technology who will present on Wednesday.
Tuesday, Thursday and Friday will feature Harry Moser, founder of the
Reshoring Initiative, who will discuss his latest efforts in bringing back
manufacturing to the US.
IMTS – International Manufacturing Technology Show

United States is held every other year at McCormick Place in Chicago, Ill. IMTS
2012 will run September 10-15. IMTS is ranked among the largest trade shows in
