As a small manufacturer in the Rock River Valley region, I am concerned about a proposal by the democrat candidate for Congress in the new 17th District in Rockford, Cheri Bustos, who proposes to institute a new tax on overseas companies who want to bring their profits back to the United States. The Bustos tax would use that revenue to pay for more big government programs, not helping grow our manufacturing sector. Companies who want to repatriate their profits in order to expand and create jobs here in the U.S. will be penalized by such a proposal.
