NORTHFIELD, Vt., Sept. 23 —The United States Merchant Marine Academy defeated Nor wich University, 12‐9, before 5,200 homecoming day fans on Sabine Field today.
John Reshore kicked a 22‐ yard field goal in the first quarter for Kings Point, and a 43‐yarder in the third.
Dave Buzanoski, who com pleted 11 of 17 passes for 200 yards, threw 38 yards to John Wambold for the Mariner touchdown in the second period.
With seconds remaining in the second quarter, Mark Con roy kicked a 29‐yard field goal to put Norwich on the score board at 9‐3 late in the third period Conroy scored on a 9‐ yard run.
