Merck CEO Kenneth Frazier stepped down from the American Manufacturing Council, citing Trump’s response to the violence that unfolded at a white supremacist rally in Virginia.

Frazier is the latest among a number of corporate heads to quit a presidential advisory council to protest Trump’s actions and policies.

CEO Ken Frazier from President Donald Trump’s council of manufacturing executives won’t have much impact as long as the council has the President’s ears, according to Harry Moser, president and founder of Reshoring Initiative, an industry advocacy group.

The president has instead blamed “many sides” for the violence, while repeatedly disregarding multiple reporters’ questions on Saturday over whether he sought to condemn white nationalist groups that have expressed solidarity with Trump’s agenda.

President Donald Trump really seems determined to dig himself into a deep hole in terms of the backlash to his response to the tragic events in Charlottesville, Virginia, on August 11 and 12. The Disney chairman Bob Iger and Tesla chief executive Elon Musk both resigned in June after the president announced he would withdraw the USA from the Paris climate agreement. In a deadly incident, a auto reportedly purposely ran into a crowd of counter-protesters, killing one.

Later on Monday, Trump made a statement calling out specific hate groups.

In an appearance Saturday at his golf resort in Bedminster, NJ, Trump faulted “many sides” for the violence.

A spokeswoman in an email today said Merck & Co. would have nothing further to say beyond Frazier’s statement. In his statement, he said the U.S finds strength “from its diversity and the contributions made by men and women of different faiths, races, sexual orientations and political beliefs”. He said if he were on the council, he would have confronted Trump face to face and resigned, saying, “he would have a battle every day with me”.

With that being said, no one should be surprised to find out that LG wants to bundle LG V30 with wireless charging pod as well. It’s an intriguing idea that we’ll be interested to try out, but for now it remains unclear how effective the feature will be.

Frazier has been CEO of the New York Stock Exchange listed pharmaceutical company since 2011.

Now former Uber CEO Travis Kalanick leftTrump’s boards in February over the administration’s travel ban, which targeted Muslim-majority countries. Musk also left the manufacturing council.

Mail on Sunday journalist is concerned for Liverpool over potential Coutinho switch

I think Alberto [Moreno] loses a really high challenge and there should be another player, then you can’t play the pass in behind. Jurgen Klopp’s men had to play, nonetheless, and the German fielded a strong lineup that included £37m signing Mohamed Salah .
