
A team of TDM Systems experts will spearhead a smart manufacturing initiative to bolster the growth of the company and improve North American operation in sales, service, and marketing as part of the Sandvik Digital Solutions Growth Strategy. The focus will be growing and improving its U.S. operation as well as working on close partnerships with companies such as pre-setter, machine tool, and CAD/CAM manufacturers.
The new team will focus on smart manufacturing, Industry 4.0 and other new technologies on the rise in the manufacturing environment.
Robert Auer was appointed as the new global business development manager and will lead the team. In this position, Auer will be responsible for leading and managing Schaumburg, Illinois-based TDM Systems, including service, administration, and management in North America, with emphasis on the United States, and coordinate the company’s growth strategy with the headquarters in Germany. He has more than 20 years of experience in industrial automation and tool management solutions, most of them in international business.
Also, TDM named Dan Speidel and Dave Morley as senior account executives. Speidel, who has been with TDM Systems for more than 10 years, is a digital manufacturing change-expert and will service customers primarily in the Northeast, Midwest, and Canada. Morley, a specialist in IoT and with over 22 years’ experience in various capacities of manufacturing focusing on software solutions, will focus on the Southeast, South, West Coast and Mexico.
In addition, Gerhard Buk will lead the company’s consulting, service, and support team, which includes specialists Eric Graber and Henry Miller. As service manager, Buk heads up the training and support side for TDM.
Graber is a product specialist and has been with TDM Systems for several years. Miller is the newest member of the team. He has an excellent knowledge of tool data management and, in particular, the TDM System.
